Intent
At Pennyhill Primary School, we aim to provide our pupils with a Geography curriculum that sparks curiosity and deepens their understanding of place, location, interconnectedness, and both physical and human geography. We strive to ensure that our curriculum is relevant and authentic, enabling children to draw on their everyday experiences while also engaging with wider geographical issues at local, national, and global scales. Pupils are given opportunities to develop essential geographical skills, including observing, collecting, measuring, recording, and analysing information. We recognise the importance of enabling children to compare and contrast places, people, and the changes shaping the geographical world in which they live.
