What is Science?  

‘Science is a means of improving our knowledge and understanding of the universe based on the collection of observation-based evidence.’ 

Scientists are curious people who like to solve problems  

The process of science starts with a question. Scientists observe, listen, describe, record and carry out experiments to answer questions about the world and universe around them.  

What is a Scientific Enquiry?  

As scientists, we need to carry out scientific enquiry or investigations to answer questions or to prove what we thought would happen was correct. 

Types of scientific enquiry: 

1. Comparative and fair testing 

2. Observations over time 

3. Identifying and classifying 

4. Pattern seeking 

5. Researching using secondary sources
