Intent
At Pennyhill Primary School, we aim to provide every child with rich opportunities to develop proficiency in a wide range of artistic skills, techniques, and processes, enabling them to create outcomes they can feel genuinely proud of.
In Art and Design, we strive to ignite creativity, encourage independent thinking, and promote exploration, experimentation, evaluation, and analysis throughout the learning journey. We aim to build pupils’ confidence in expressing their thoughts, feelings, and understanding in new and imaginative ways. Above all, we are committed to ensuring that every child has the chance to showcase their artistic talents, enjoy the creative process, and grow in confidence as they express themselves through art.
