Pennyhill Primary School is a fully inclusive community committed to the wellbeing, achievement, and success of every child. We recognise the Equality Act 2010 as a vital framework that supports our dedication to celebrating diversity, challenging discrimination, promoting equality, and fostering positive relationships. It also underpins our ongoing work to reduce disadvantage and remove barriers to achievement for all groups of pupils.

In line with the Equality Act 2010, Pennyhill Primary School publishes information showing how we give due regard to the need to:
• Eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment, victimisation, and any other conduct prohibited by the Act
• Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not
• Foster positive relationships between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not

Information on Pupils and Protected Characteristics
The Equality Act 2010 protects individuals from discrimination on the basis of specific protected characteristics. Because everyone has one or more of these characteristics, the Act offers protection to the entire school community.

To ensure that all pupils are fully protected and supported, Pennyhill Primary School monitors, and uses relevant information relating to protected characteristics and other vulnerability indicators. This helps us to identify need, tackle inequalities, and continually improve our provision for all learners.
