Intent
At Pennyhill Primary School, we believe that introducing children to languages from an early age helps them develop an appreciation for diverse cultures and traditions, supporting our British values of acceptance and tolerance. As global connections continue to grow, it is increasingly important for our pupils to understand and value different languages and cultural perspectives. Learning an additional language also strengthens children’s literacy and oracy by deepening their awareness of how language works.
In our Spanish lessons, we aim to make learning both authentic and enjoyable, offering pupils plenty of opportunities to communicate confidently in the target language
