Personal, Social, Health, Economic Education
Intent
At Pennyhill Primary School, we are committed to delivering high‑quality PSHE education and view it as an essential part of school life. We believe it plays a vital role in enriching our pupils’ lives both in and beyond the classroom. PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education) is a key element of every child’s learning, giving pupils access to important ideas, meaningful discussions, and valuable real‑life experiences.
Our PSHE curriculum is designed to develop children’s knowledge, self‑esteem, emotional wellbeing, and resilience. It supports them in building and sustaining positive, healthy relationships. Pupils learn to value and respect themselves and others within our local community, across the country, and around the world.
We aim to help children gain a deeper understanding of their own health and wellbeing, including both their physical and mental health.
At Pennyhill Primary School, we strive to prepare pupils for adult life—its choices, responsibilities, challenges, and opportunities—so they can grow into confident, emotionally mature individuals.
